Boomerang
One of the channels we now get is a kids channel called Boomerang. It has a ton of old tv shows that I watched as a kid like:
Smurfs
Flinstones
Jetsons
Huckelberry Hound
Popeye
Tom and Jerry
Scooby Doo
Yogi Bear
Talk about a goldmine. And that's just to name a few. My kids are loving it. It's too fun!!

Fall is Here!!
Jordan and I stayed home. He was a complete angel. It was awesome. He even went garage saling with me and was so good.
Saturday night Carter woke up in the middle of the night with a nasty cold. I stayed home from church with him since we were up all night long with him coughing and not breathing well. He did perk up midday though and I took the boys to a pumpkin patch. When we got there though, there was a teenage boy outside and he said they didn't officially open for 3 more days. All the pumpkins were right there in front of me, but he wouldn't sell me any. I tried to plead with him and told him my two toddlers were in the back of my truck and were really excited to pick one out, but he said he didn't know the prices and couldn't do it. What a punk!
Carter threw a nasty fit after that and called me a mean mommy. I tried to tell him it wasn't I who said he couldn't have a pumpkin. I told him we could go to Wal-Mart. All the sudden he was in a happy mood. Mmm hmmm...
They had either extremely small pumpkins at Wal-Mart or giant ones. Of course we got the big ones. The boys loved it!
We also stopped over at Lutheran Hospital to see Hunter. He was in a great mood, and 5 mintues after we got there, my brother Lance and his family showed up. That was pretty cool.

I know there are several young moms that view my blog, so I wanted to share. I also get on a website similar called http://www.kaboose.com/
You Have Just Won..........
Last week I went to a Women's Night Out event held by Danielle's fiance Rich who publishes Fort Wayne Women's Magazine. There were lots of exciting things going on. It was held at Headwaters Park. When you first walked in, there was a tent set up with a large shopping area full of spa products, make-up, jewelry, tennis club stuff, all sorts of things. Within all these products there was usually a drawing to win one of their products. I signed up for probably 8 different things, but mind you, there were probably 400 women at this event doing the same thing.
So Tuesday afternoon I received a voicemail on my cell phone that I had won the Ravale' Skin Care Kit worth $250.00 from Fort Wayne Dermatology. Excuse me, what did you just say? $250.00!!! You have got to be kidding me...
I was able to pick it up at their office yesterday during my lunch hour. There were 3 products. A Facial Cleanser, Day Cream, and Night Cream. I thought to myself, how in the heck can these 3 bottles be worth $250.00. So I looked it up online. And sure enough, its priced that high. And there was even a youtube video from the t.v. show Extra that featured the product and celebrities use it. Boy do I feel special, Oouu La La..
So next time you see a drawing, don't pass it by!

Zucchini Bread
Here is the recipe I used.
INGREDIENTS
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 1/4 cups white sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups grated zucchini
1 cup chopped walnuts ( optional)
DIRECTIONS
Grease and flour two 8 x 4 inch pans. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Sift flour, salt, baking powder, soda, and cinnamon together in a bowl.
Beat eggs, oil, vanilla, and sugar together in a large bowl. Add sifted ingredients to the creamed mixture, and beat well. Stir in zucchini and nuts until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake for 40 to 60 minutes, or until tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack for 20 minutes. Remove bread from pan, and completely cool.

I peeled the zucchini with a carrot peeler and then used a large hole cheese grater and grated it. It was fun and easy.

Showers and Brawls
Last night we had two couples from church over. The one couple has a son just 4 months older than Carter. He and Carter had quite the wrestling match in our basement. Whenever Carter wrestles with Nik, Nik puts him in certain holds and Carter goes ballistic. I think he might be claustrophobic like me, and he will scream bloody murder like a girl. So I figured he would be a bit of a baby when Ezra was wrestling him, but Carter held his own. I think boys need to be boys once in a while. And don't worry, no one was seriously injured. :)

You shall call me Your Highness!!
Tonight at bedtime:
Beth: Carter, you need to be quiet and go to sleep.
Carter: My name is not Carter, you shall call me Your Highness.
Beth: Where did you hear that?
Carter: At Sunday School.
Beth: Right, you did not.
Carter It was Simeon.
Beth: It was not. You goofy boy.
(Carter changing the subject)
Carter: I want to tell Jordan goodnight.
Beth: It's too late.
(Carter points in my face and with a gruff voice says)
Carter: Noo... It's too late for you!
Beth (laughs) Alright. Calm down, it's time to be quiet....Goodnight.

Ouch!!
Thank goodness it was only a small cut, but I can imagine the horror and pain he was feeling not realizing what he had done. I guess he won't do that again.

The Big Dive
On Labor Day we headed to my Grandma Hose's house in Butler and had a wonderful day in the sun. My brothers' families were there and my Aunt Cherie's family was there. The kids played in the sandbox, tee ball, swam, and had good food!! We played some good games of corn hole too.
Jordan was the big deal in the pool though. He again showed us his diving skills and even did a flip off the board. He holds his breath under water like you wouldn't believe. My Aunt Cherie kept telling us he is going to be the next Michael Phelps. :) It's hard to believe he is only 2 years old!!! I included his dive and flip on the 2 videos. They are very short clips but so good!! Also, since my background color is black, the video screens are invisible. Just hit play.
