I took a picture of Carter at 18 months old standing on the thin edge of the wall taking a peek out of the window. I thought it was cute at the time. Little did I know, Jordan would be doing the same thing at the same age of 18 months. Too cute...

Closet Completion

About a month ago I posted about the closet doors in Carter and Jordan's bedroom were getting cut so we could finally put them into place after 2 years!! So anyways, our neighbor, Jason, who cut the doors, came over about a week ago to install them and I was able to paint them and the room finally looks complete!! On to the next project. ;)

The dresser and the closet door colors may look like they clash, but trust me, when you see the whole room put together, it looks great.

Travel Soccer

Savannah played her first game of travel soccer this weekend against Port Clinton. She played two quarters of the game. One of the quarters she was the goalie. I was unable to make it this weekend, but I was told she did a great job!! She didn't score any goals, but she had some great assists.

Trinkle Trinkle

Carter loves to sing. (wonder who he gets that from??) My favorite part of the video though is the little tiny ghost that whips past Carter as he is singing. Oh, and Carter can't quite remember the beginning of the second verse. Improvise improvise...

More Pics from Grand Lake

Grand Lake

So we left Friday night and began our 6 hour trip to Grand Lake. We arrived at our cabin at around 1:00 a.m. The trip up there was pretty stressful, I would say the boys cried or wined about 2 1/2 hours of the ride, but we made it. The trip home went a lot better. We stayed there all day Saturday and Sunday. We played lots of cornhole and played a good Euchre tournament. There was a trampoline at the lodge that Carter and Savannah practically lived on while we were there. I was pretty hesitant at first to let Carter on it, but he did so good, and amazingly no one got hurt. There were even 10 kids jumping on it at one time, which my pictures show evidence of.

On Sunday morning we discovered a red circle on Carter's arm that was the size of a golf ball and stuck about an inch out. We talked with a girl that was there that is an ER nurse, and she didn't seem too alarmed by it. She thinks it was a spider bite. The next day it flatened but started to spread out to become the size of a baseball, but I called a pediatrician that was on call and he didn't seem too alarmed by it either and told us to go in on Tuesday to our regular pediatrician. Well, our doctor is booked up today, but we are seeing him tomorrow morning at 9am. And also, on our car trip home, Jordan got a fever and actually threw up in the car. He was pretty out of it the rest of the day, but is doing much better today.

All in all, we had a great weekend and the most important thing was that the kids had fun. The last night we were there, they kids got to hold sparklers, which I was very proud of Carter for being brave and holding sparklers 3 different times. Barb took some good pics of that. And they shot off fireworks off the dock and the beach for probably 25 minutes. It was great fun.

A few Carter quotes from the trip:

"I want candy for breakfast, Mommy!!" (crying followed this statement)...

"I don't like dog poop." (on our way home going through a skunk smelling area)

"Savannah has a snake on her head mom!!" (savannah was sleeping in the car on the way home and one of her suitcase straps fell on her head from the back seat).
