What's New?

Yes, it's been a while since I have blogged. I just haven't been in the mood I guess, and have been trying to sneak as many naps in as possible this last trimester when getting home from work. My motivation comes and goes. So what's new you ask? Ok let's see...

Savannah is at church camp this week. Something she looks forward to every year now. She has a best friend at our church that also goes and is hoping to be her roommate for the week. I would call her, but they aren't supposed to have cell phones, which she does, but we told her she couldn't take. You should have seen the look on her face... LOL!! Although now that I think about it, I don't think Nik remembered to take it from her when he dropped her off. ;)

Carter is getting ready to start Kindergarten in about 6 weeks. I recently received a call from Brentwood Elementary that he has been accepted there. This was one of the schools I had applied for. We are all so excited for him! He keeps asking me how many more days before school starts. We never sent him to pre-school though, so I really hope he won't be behind, but he is a fast learner, so I'm not too worried. But he did ask me if there were going to be girls at his school, and if there was going to be a teacher on the playground keeping watch. Heaven help us!! I can hear it now.... Ring ring... Mrs. Burkhardt, um... we are having trouble with your son on the playground trying to kiss all the girls. (oh the humiliation)... :)

One thing that was a concern of mine was when Brentwood Elem called me the other day, the secretary said, "Oh, and by the way, since our school is not in your zip code, you will have to provide your own transportation, but call FWCS bus transportation anyway and see if there is a pick up/drop off spot close to your area." I was immediately crushed, because I knew Nik and I both work full time and wouldn't be able to work that out. But I went ahead and called the bus route and the receptionist told me that it would be no problem to have them pick/drop Carter off right in front of our house. God is so good! I was thrilled!! And Nik and I have worked it out to where I will be able to get him on the bus and NIk will get home to get him off. It couldn't have worked out better. :)

I am wondering how Jordan will do without his buddy Carter around when school starts. They are pretty much inseparable. My dad was just telling me that he remembers being devastated when his brother Denny left for school. Although, Jordan will now have a baby brother at home to play with, even though that won't be quite the same, but at least its only for one year, and then before you know it, Carter and Jordan will be off to school together. I can't believe how fast the time has already gone.

Speaking of time going fast, I officially have one week left before Judah makes his big debut. I really do feel like this pregnancy has flown by. This last trimester has been pretty tiring though, and I am ready to be done, but its hard to think that this is going to be the last time I will be pregnant. It does make me sad. But I do enjoy seeing all of our kids grow and learn new things everyday. We are so blessed! And having my mom at home watching them three days a week has been the ultimate blessing!

On Sunday I had a maternity photoshoot done by a friend of mine from church. She is going to give me the full cd of pictures this weekend, so I haven't been able to see all of the pictures quite yet, but she posted some of them on her Facebook, which I am excited to share on here. It was a fun shoot and a gorgeous day! She did such a fantastic job. I will post the rest of them later when I have them all. There are some belly shots and family shots I can't wait to see!!
