Healthy and Happy

The boys have been feeling much better the last couple of days. We decided to break out one of their christmas gifts from Uncle Nate. They had a blast with the moon sand even though it was extremely messy. :) I told them we might want to play with it outside next time when its warm outside. But they have been begging me ever since to get it back out. Thanks Uncle Nate! They love it.

On Friday, their new bunk beds came in. They have slept in them for 2 nights now and have done really well. Jordan even does pretty good coming down the ladder by himself. I ordered the beds from Kmart and was a little afraid that they would be junky because they were only $200. But I love them and they look great.

I would like to add, about the Moon Sand, that it was merely minutes into them playing with it, that Jordan threw a sand ball at Carters head. lol

The boys' room looks great! Totally a "big boy" room now. Couldn't resist the moon sand, huh? Glad the boys had fun; I'll send my boys to your place to play with it next time! :-)

They are too funny - poor boys don't have any clothes though....where did you get the train table? I want some moon sand - looks like a great time!

Reghan asked for the moon sand for Christmas and I told her no! I'm a mean mommy, but it looked messy!! I said maybe when she is older and she asked if when she was 5 would she be old enough. LOL!

Aunt Cherie: The train table is by Kidkraft Circo and it was from Target. It did not come with any train pieces. IT was just the table, which was regularly $80 but I found it on sale for $60. And the 120-piece train set was regularly $40, but I found it on sale for $30.

The bunk beds look great!! That is hopefully one of our purchases this year.
Nice train table! I bet that keeps things a little quieter at your house. :)

Wow - KMart and only $200.00. That might be a great idea. They look nice. Do you still feel pretty good about them?

Amanda H - Yes, I still love the bunk beds. One downer though, but not a huge deal. I had read online of one review that the beds seemed to become loose over time and the bolts needed tightening with the little allen wrench. I was hoping that wouldn't happen with our beds, but I have noticed they have become loose. Not like the bed is going to fall apart or anything, but to not be wobbly, they prob will need tightening every couple weeks, depending upon how much the kids move around in them. I just keep the wrench up there, and it only takes a second to tighten a few bolts. Our boys have played a lot during the day though on the top bunk, so they move around in it a lot. Anyways, I guess a real sturdy bunk bed would be more like $550.00, but for $200.00, I think these are well worth it.
