For months now, I have known about our upcoming trip to Pigeon Forge, TN, but I couldn't say anything on here because it was a surprise trip for some of Nik's relatives that read this blog. So anyway, we left on Friday morning and got back last night. I have never been to Pigeon Forge, but on the main drag, there is go-cart track after go-cart track, several putt-putt courses, live shows, museums, you name it. It is quite the tourist town with quite the horrendous traffic. Our cabins were on a very steep hill, and our balcony displayed the most breathtaking view of the Smoky Mountains.
There were 28 of us all together that went from Nik's family. There were 6 bedrooms and several queen pull-out couches and 2 sets of bunk beds. Each bedroom had a jacuzzi tub and there was a hot tub on the lower balcony. It was a pretty phat place. Sometimes it was hard to keep track of our boys because the place was so large. They loved it though. Here are some pictures from the website of some of the rooms in the cabin. But here is the link if you want to check it out for yourself. Nik and I are thinking of going back there sometime for either a second honeymoon, or with several adult friends.

My family did the same thing when I was younger. Our place was beautiful but not quite as nice as this one....but we loved it and I have always wanted to go back and do it again! It is so gorgeous down there.
I love the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Sevierville area. Glad you had a good time! Hope the DVD player made the trip a little easier. :)
I too love Pigeon Forge/Gatlingburn!!! I have been there more than a handful of times and never had a bad vacation. There are so many things to do with kids or for adults. We are planning a big vaca to FL/Disney for 2009 but probably the next year we'll go to TN again :)
We have been a few times too. We took our honeymoon there. Great times. If you all go again you need to go and take the kids to the Comedy Barn. It is kind of a Christian comedy thing. It was soooo funny and Tim and I loved it a ton!!!
I did see that place Sara. Good to know, thanks. And yes Manda, thanks again for the dvd player. The screen went blue a couple times, but I had read reviews on several dvd players that that happens often. But yeah, it worked great and the kids were very glad to have it!
The screen went blue? We had never had that happen. That sucks. If it's ok with you, take $20 off the price we had agreed on.
Wow Beth! That looks awesome!!! Thanks for sharing the pix.
My family did the same thing several years ago as well. In fact, when I first saw the pics, I thought you might have stayed at the same place, but it's not. I'm glad you had a good time. Pidgeon Forge is a little crazy and I can only take so much of the go-carting and shows. I love all the shops in Gatlinburg though and could shop several days in a row! If you didn't, next time you should check out the blacklight 3-D putt-putt golf. There are several different courses in Gatlinburg. All the women on my mom's side went to Gatlinburg last summer for a week and we had a blast with the 3-D golf.
