Zoorific Weekend

What a great weekend. Saturday morning we took the boys to the Fort Wayne zoo. The weather was absolutely perfect. And the boys rarely fussed while we were there. Our only trouble was when they didn't want to ride in the wagon and kept running ahead and would lose their balance racing down a hill. But we left with no major boo boos.

Carter kept requesting over and over, "Mom, I want to see the pandas, sharks and lions." Well, now that I think about it, we didn't actually see any of those. I don't think they have pandas at that zoo, but the lions and tigers were snoozing at the far end of their cages, and I guess we missed the shark exhibit. Oh well, he was too fascinated with all the other animals anyway.

The main thing I wanted to do was make sure they got to feed the baby goats and fawns at the barn. I guess they don't do that anymore. I didn't see anyone with a baby bottle to feed them. And there were no fawns present, just baby goats. I thought Carter and Jordan would be so excited to be in the fence with the goats, but they really were more thrilled with kicking the lose dirt at each other. Boys, boys, boys.... THey had a great time though, and we did too!!

Sunday morning, I went to my parents' church in E-town. My brother Lance gave the message since the main pastor was on a mission trip. His sermon was awesome. He memorized the whole book of James and quoted it for his sermon. It was quite impressive and moving.

After church, we headed to my grandma's house and all enjoyed swimming, corn hole, and some good food. The kids had a blast on the Gators (trackors) and played in the sand box. It was a fun crazy day.

I don't know why I wrote that Manda. I guess I am so use to our Pastor calling Nik, Pastor Nik, and then we have Pastor Tony (which are the youth leaders). I guess I could have just said Pastor.
