Bummer

I just called FWCS to see if Carter had made the list for Bunche Elementary. He is #35 on the "waiting" list so he didn't make it for the pre-school pick this year. I am pretty sure I am going to send him to Imagine Schools next year, so really being #35 doesn't matter now. But they did tell me they have not done the lottery pick for Whitney Young yet, and they will do that in a month. I think that school is even more popular though, so I am sure his chances of getting in are very slim. I guess I will just find some things online to teach him and maybe rent some good videos that I have heard can teach letters and sounds. He is a pretty fast learner though, so I am not too worried about him not attending pre-school. It's all in God's hands. :)

Spongebob and Eponine

We had a great weekend. Saturday morning we headed to Danielle's house to celebrate Hunter's 4th birthday. I can't believe he is that old already. He had a cute little Spongebob party. The kids really enjoyed hitting Spongebob the "pinata" outside. Later that evening we headed to Bryan, Ohio to watch Savannah in the High School Play of Les Miserables. She played the young version of Eponine. She was only in the play for a short scene, but did a fantastic job and looked adorable. Thanks again for the tickets Grandma and Grandpa Burkhardt, oh and for a wonderful supper! And thanks mom and dad for taking care of the boys! The play lasted a whopping 3 hours, but was very well done. Surprisingly, the whole play was done in only songs. There were no spoken words. Nik was telling me how thankful he was that we don't do that in real life. hahah...

Jordan's Party

Saturday we celebrated Jordan's birthday with family. It was a pretty nice day and the kids got to play outside a bit. Sara Warner made his birthday cake which turned out perfect. I think her cakes just keep getting better and better! It was a great day! I love it that Jordan sang right along to Happy Birthday with everyone and even said his own name in the song.  Anytime anyone wished him a happy birthday that day, he would wish them a happy birthday right back. :) That's my boy!

Fun Camera Feature

Last week I received my FREE Gift Card for Best Buy because of the Rewards Points I had accumulated from my Chase Credit Card. I was stoked when I realized how much I had earned and went out to BB and bought a new Canon Powershot Camera. It has an option on it that allows you to pick a color within the picture you are about to take, and it finds all of that color within your picture and everything else stays black and white. The pictures on here that I took of the boys at the park, I obviously chose a red color. I am going to have a lot of fun with this camera.

The boys made a fast friend at the park named Evan. It was hillarious watching them try to drive this cool car around.

My camera is back. Time to play catch up....

Let's see.... A couple weeks ago my friend Alicia (Leupp) Cook had a baby boy. I got to spend some time with her and her sister Casie (one of my best friends) at the hospital.

This is a random picture that I thought was funny. You can see it was around Valentine's Day because I have hearts hanging over the fireplace. I decided to get out my Pilate's Exercise DVD and the boys couldn't resist working out with me. Sadly, I haven't pulled out the DVD since then. (shhhhhhhh)

Yesterday I stayed home with the boys because Jordan had gone to bed the night before with a slight temperature and had been coughing horribly all weekend. He coughed so hard on Sunday that he threw up. Poor little guy. It was time to pull out the ol' Nebulizer machine for some breathing treatments.

He is such a trooper with having to wear this every 4 hours for 10 minutes at a time.

Jordan got a birthday card in the mail yesterday from Great Grandma Burkhardt in Florida. Jordan says "Fank You Gwama Burkhardt."

The boys wanted to play around with the camera and take pictures of each other. This one was obviously taken by Jordan. And I also got my hair highlighted on Sunday night, which this picture shows off pretty well.

Sandwiches in the Night

While Carter was asleep last night, he started talking and said, "No, I said I wanted grilled cheese."
