Crazy Pinz

Thursday night we went to Crazy Pinz to celebrate Grandpa Eric and my birthdays. It was quite the eventful night. :) The boys have never been bowling before and they really enjoyed picking up their own bowling ball and dropping it down the silver slide. They were pretty rambunctious though and Jordan was running into other people's lanes and on the furniture. And that was all before we sugared him up with birthday cake. ;) Poor Carter had quite the night of accidents though. At the beginning of the night, he ran down the slippery bowling lane past the line where only the balls go and he fell backwards and smacked the back of his head.

Later on in the evening we played games in the arcade and played the putt putt course. During putt putt, Carter was swinging his club and somehow smacked himself right in the eye and cut it open right underneath. We were playing on a black light course, so the blood under his eye looked absolutely awful under those lights. There is a picture of his eye in the last photo. It was a really great night to spend with the family though. We had a blast. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Burkhardt!!

The other night we were at a friend's house for supper. Carter had lots of fun playing with their 7 year old son Tony. When we sat down to eat, Carter and Tony sat at the breakfast bar in the kitchen across from our table. Every once in a while I would listen in on their conversation. At one point, Tony was explaining the game of basketball to Carter. This is what I heard...

Tony: You don't know what a referee is?

Carter: No

Tony: Okay, okay... Let's start at the beginning... You know... You can pass, and you can shoot, and....

Carter: Huh? There are no guns in basketball??!!

Savannah's Room Makeover

For Savannah's birthday at the beginning of January, I told her I wanted to do a room makeover for her. Her walls have had a ocean mural on them for the past 4 years, and it was time for something a bit more girly. I would have finished it earlier, but I have had a horrible sinus infection, and I can mostly only work on it in the evenings after work or when the kids are busy with something besides bothering me. :) The pictures on here make the walls look a little blue, but they are a pretty purple color with a lavender trim. I picked the purple color because it is a circle color in part of the Hannah Montana bedspread. I am glad it is finally done. And she will see it in person tonight. :) Happy Birthday Bean.
